What’s in the WOW Facial at-home kit?
If you haven’t had a WOW Facial yet, you can check out my article all about it here, but, essentially, it’s an incredible 6-step, bespoke facial that works to treat your specific skin concerns, and give you a beautiful glow. It’s super! So, you can imagine my excitement when I heard there would be an at-home kit!
Intended to be used as an in between treatments solution, it’s a God send for over lockdown. The at-home kit contains two facials, which should be done two weeks apart. Included in the package is a Glycolic Cleanse and Resurface Gel, a WOW microneedling roller, two vitamin-enriched skin booster solutions and two of WOW Facial’s The Mask.
How does the WOW Facial at-home kit work, and what are the benefits?
Ok, so there are obviously fewer stages than a standard WOW Facial, but this is what the steps involve, and how they’ll work on your skin…
Step 1: Cleanse and resurface
In the first step, the 8% glycolic gel is used to clean and exfoliate skin, leaving it fresh and prepared for the next few steps.
Step 2: Roller and rejuvenate
Now you’re talking! The second stage involves using the included micro roller (this is used for both facials) and the multi-vitamin skin booster. What’s this step for? Well, using the roller helps give your skin a plumper, glowier, more hydrated look, and the vitamins provide nourishment. Because of the massage-esque movements of the roller, this stage also stimulates lymphatic drainage, meaning less puffiness. Nice!
Step 3: The MASK by WOW Facial
The Mask is the final step in your at-home WOW Facial, and is a lovely way to end the treatment. Full of peptides and antioxidants as well as a bunch of other ingredients that are great for the skin, the mask will calm, hydrate and dewify (I’m copyrighting that one).
Who’s the at-home WOW Facial suitable for - and not suitable for?
The WOW Facial at-home kit is perfect for those who want to experience a bit of a wow between treatments, and is great for those who suffer with fine lines and wrinkles, rosacea, hyperpigmentation, acne, oily or dry and dehydrated skin.
Something to be aware of, though, is that the WOW Facial at-home kit is not suitable if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, or you suffer with skin issues like eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation or you have any skin diseases or skin cancer. It’s also not recommended for anyone who has active pustular acne, you’ve recently had skin laser treatment or you’ve got specifically prescribed skin medication.
