Dr Clare's primary medical skills were gained working as a consultant anaesthetist within the national health services, in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. She has delivered complex care in major operations such heart transplants, thoracic repairs and pancreatic surgery, providing general anaesthesia, sedation, epidurals and nerve blocks on a daily basis. Dr Clare is therefore highly skilled in the use of needles.
