What is a Widget?

A widget is a piece of code that can be included in any web page to do something. For example, you could use a widget to display some information in the sidebar of your blog.

So, what is a Survey Widget?

A Survey Widget is a widget that asks your readers questions and collects their feedback for you.

• If your reader want to answer the questions they can choose their answers and vote without ever leaving your web page.
• Your GlowDay Survey Widgets will appear on your page exactly as you have designed them; they will never display pop up windows or other messages that interfere with your readers browsing experience.

How can I create a Survey Widget?
Just click on the Start Button on the top of this page to start the Widget Designer to create your own Survey Widget.

But if you see a widget that you like on the GlowDay site, you can ...

1. Put the widget on your page by clicking the "Get This" button. This will give you the HTML codes for the widget which you can add to your web page.
2. You can also make some changes to the widget by clicking "Copy". This will start the Widget Designer with a copy of the widget loaded so you can make the changes you want and publish it.

How can I use a Survey Widget?

When you design a Survey Widget, we will give you the following information on how to use your widget

• A Link to the widget on the GlowDay site. This shows the widget embedded on the GlowDay site.
• A Link to the 'full screen' page which shows only your widget. You can use this link if you don't want to put the widget on your page.
• HTML Codes for putting the widget on your page. You can edit your web page and add these codes to 'embed' the widget on your page.
• For popular web sites, we also display a 'Quick Post' form which you can use to automatically add the widget to your blog or social networking site.

Where can I use a Survey Widget?

On just about any website where you can edit content. You'll need to be able to add the HTML codes to the page where you want to the widget to appear.

How can I see my Results?

Detailed results for your widget are on the GlowDay web site, we send you the link to see these results when you publish the widget.

You can also see a summary of the results when you vote.

What are the "Overall Results"?

With GlowDay, you can see the widget on our GlowDay site and also on your site.

We keep track of the site the reader is voting on so when you see your results they are separate from people who vote on the GlowDay site.

The overall results is a summary of all votes, no matter what site they come from. It can be fun to compare the results between sites.

How many Questions can I ask on a Widget?

You can have up to 20 pages in your Survey Widget, there is no limit on the number of questions.

When you have more than one page, your readers can answer questions, move between widget pages and even vote without ever leaving your web page.

Can I put pictures on my Widget?

Yes, you can upload and display your photobucket photos when editing your Survey Widget. Also, can enter the URL of the images you want to display if they are hosted on your web site. You can even add YouTube Videos to your widget. Just like any question, you can change the image size, position, border and even transparency to create great visual effects and add interest to your widget.

Can I download my results?

Yes, All responses to your survey can be downloaded as an Excel Spreadsheet or CSV file from your results page.
